Teaching is My Passion

I teach photography to grades 9-12 at The Kinkaid School in Houston, Texas. I also speak and teach private and small group workshops throughout the year.

I would love to come teach or speak to your organization (company, school, groups, etc.). I teach a variety of subjects including photography technique, marketing, branding, design, creativity, social media and blogging. I also enjoy creating new classes and talks that are specific for your group's needs.

Below, I've listed a few examples of presentations that I have given. If you would like more information, please email me.

What Farrah's students are saying...

“Your classes have been so incredibly helpful to me. I've been trying some of the things that you talked about and have been so pleased with the results. I took this picture of my two girls while they were playing in the rain the other day. In a few years, I'm sure it will mean more to me than any picture of them smiling for the camera. Thanks a bunch!”  Denise L.

I just wanted to say thanks for a great class - I practiced some this afternoon and attached a couple of examples of what I learned! Also, I wanted to tell you what an amazing person you are - I am always in awe to hear about all of the things you are doing and accomplishing! You are a truly gifted photographer and teacher.”  Leigh W.

“I did it :) I got silly with my nephews tonight and while none of the photos are astonishing - my heart adores them. Though I think the best was when the 8 year old took my camera and said "my turn" and took photos of his Aunt being silly, and then told me that I was beautiful to him. That is a moment that will live forever in the heart of this very blessed Aunt. Thank you, for giving me the encouragement that led to that moment with my precious boys.”

"After only one class, my ability to photograph my children greatly improved. I learned that capturing the perfect smile is not as important as capturing the magic of the moment. My pictures now tell a story and are not just snapshots. I look forward to taking more of your fun and educational classes in the future. "  Emily D.
