Meet Pippa...I have been photographing her since she was a tiny baby and now she's grown up and walking around! How seriously cute is she?! Her Mom brought in the rose, which matched the tutu perfectly and was a perfect addition to the shots. It smelled really dreamy too!

I love it when you can see those two tiny teeth on the bottom! She was such a sweet girl too. Most little kids would have ripped all of those petals out in a flash but she just held her rose and smiled!

It's all about family, relationships and connection. It's the heart of life...
Blog friends, meet Savannah Kate. Savannah Kate, you amazingly cute thing you, meet the blog friends!
Savannah Kate is one of my first year babies so I have been photographing her since before she was born actually. I met this sweet family when I photographed their maternity session. Time flies and now she's walking! She was full of hilarious expressions too. This next one almost looks like a cry but it's really a laugh. Her Mom and I were cracking up watching her do this silly, whole face, scrunched up laugh. She would bring her hands up tight into her chest and just laugh out loud.
I love this one too...
A little game of peek-a-boo
My favorite from the day.
At some point, all sessions must end. For her it happened like this, I was stacking up blocks for her on the ladder and her Dad came up and moved her over just a little and this is what she had to say about that...

Katie brought her sweet little girl in for her second First Year Collection session. She was just on the verge of crawling. She wanted to crawl and she was trying very hard to do it. Her Mom and I were laughing that it looked like she was doing yoga or pilates. Check out her baby plank position!

I love this one of her checking out the little shorts I put on her. She's like, what am I wearing?!

and more "core" work...

So close to crawling!

and a few more that are just sweet, enjoy!

Happy Tuesday friends!

My studio is pretty dreamy, I have to say. I've spent a lot of time tweaking this and that and making it comfortable. I love it there. There is, however, one thing I wish I had...a big north facing window for shooting natural light portraits. I do have two huge doors that open to the outside so I decided to try that out for some natural light experimentation. It's super hot here at the moment and my experiment made all the grown ups in the room sweat but Miss Blakeley didn't have a problem with it at all!

Beautiful! I've been looking at small boxes & baskets like these at Michael's. They are on clearance. These shots evoke my desire to get a few before my next newborn session!
