Back in January I went to the Professional Photographers of America national convention. I love going every year. They have a big trade show and we get to check out tons of new products as well as take classes and hear experts speak on various topics. I found some great new items for my clients this year including some really beautiful new frames and albums. I'm excited to start showing them off.
I was also honored with an award for my new website. The website won "Best Website" in a national marketing competition! It was a huge honor for me. They are also going to do a feature on great web sites for the April issue of the magazine and they interviewed me for it, very cool!

My fellow winners were Wendy Rouleau and Jeff Woods- awesome to be included in such a great group.

After the awards ceremony we all went an after party at the Tampa Aquarium. It was hilarious to see so many people taking pictures of the fish! I guess that is what you get when you put a bunch of photographers together somewhere...the cameras come out! I joined in too. Here are some little pictures of the fish with my iphone.

I also got to meet Gina Alexander at the trade show. Gina makes the photo handbags that I sell at the studio. She showed us some of the new bags, which are great and I can't wait to get some sample for the studio.

Now, back at the studio, it's time to sort out all the cool & new information and get back to work!
I've been busy! Today I took some time off, picked up Sayer early from school and we saw a mid afternoon showing of Ratatouille. Sayer is so funny with movies. He gets really sensitive and can get scared easily. We had to leave the theater during the part of Ratatouille where the older lady starts shooting at the rats. We killed some time playing Galaga (got to level 9 wooohooo!) and then went back in when the coast was clear of shooting grannies. He loved Galaga! We played 2 more games after the show.
The other night we had some fun with Finn during bath time. Look at his little face!

Then after bath he roared for me...he is a little lion for sure. These two pics show his personality so well- the roar and the little shy look after it. Tonight he was just a little ball on my lap holding his "lovey" (a well loved and worn silky blanket). It was thundering really loud and the little lion was feeling a bit like a kitten.

Meanwhile, back at the studio, I finally got to photograph my friend Valeria's baby. Look at little Daniel!

Daniel and Daddy. I love this shot.

We wore him out and by then of the shoot he was grabbing at anything soft and silky and sucking on his fingers. It was like, "please people! I need a nap!"

Later that day I photographed Roxy and Mimi. This is my second time photographing them. Last year I met their owner, Rhonda, at The Dog Bowl pet sessions. They both have such great little doggie smiles.

Time to go watch my recorded episodes of LA Ink on TLC! It's my new favorite show. Bye for now!
Farrah,Thank you for making us look so attractive ;) The pictures are fantastic, so beautiful!, Daniel looks perfect... Can't wait for the presentation!
You're awesome!Valeria
