It's official.  We're back in Texas.  Today was my first full day back at the studio and the kids had their first day back at school on Friday.  The jet lag is mostly behind us and life is getting pretty much back to normal.

I feel compelled to say a huge thank you to my friends and clients...

Thank you Brene for coming up to the studio with Gatorade packets and chewable advil on the day that we left when I was stressed and under the gun and Sayer was sick.  Your kindness helped us get through our flight.

Thank you to my clients for waiting 5 weeks to see pictures that I took of your family right before I left.  I know you were all anxious to see them and your patience is not lost on me.

Thank you for being patient with Julie while I was away and she was holding the fort all alone.

Thank you Julie for holding down the fort all by yourself.

Thank you Mom and Mignon for keeping our dogs Phoebe and Milo safe and snuggled.  We knew they were in good hands and that is worth so much.

Thank you all for allowing me the space to be with my boys and my family.  My children thank you too.  They really need the Mommy time and so did I.

Hello everyone-

We have officially moved and are operating out of our new studio on South Blvd. (see above contact info).  We are, however, having on and off phone problems.  If you have been trying to call us and have gotten busy signals, disconnect messages or a hang-up, please accept my apologies.  It is an AT&T problem and we have no control over it.  It's making me crazy actually.  If you are having difficulties, please try us by email at: farrah@farrahbraniff.com.  Julie or I will do our best to get back with you promptly.  If you have items to pick up, please feel free to drop by between 9:30 and 5 pm and we'll be happy to help you.

Thanks for your patience...I am swiftly losing all of mine GRR! :)

I wish I could say that we are totally moved in but it just would not be true.  We are, however, a little more than halfway moved in.  I love my new space!  It's beautiful.  Every time I open a box, I think about how this whole journey began.  I remember doing photo sessions in my living room while Sayer napped in the next room.  I'd have to race around and completely clean my house before anyone came over, make sure Sayer fell asleep on time, set up my rented lights and a background.  Then when the shoot was over, I would break it all back down in a hurry hoping Sayer didn't wake up before I was done.  I can't even imagine it now.  Slowly but surely I am building my dream and the new South Blvd. studio is one more big step up my dream ladder.  I am so deeply grateful to all my clients.  Thank you for choosing me.

I am so excited for you all to see my new space.  I think you will love the location, the big windows, the tall ceilings and the great energy that the new place has.  Today I organized and arranged and cleaned and unpacked.  I had Regina Spektor, John Mayer, Jack Johnson and Sara Bareilles on a shuffle all day.  They dutifully guided me through my efforts.  Here is a sneak peek at a few of my favorite things at the new shop.

Hello, my name is Farrah and I am a ribbon-a-holic.  Now I have these awesome little shelves and rods holding all of my ribbons right out where I can see them.

I am so excited about my new studio space!  Things are moving right along.  I don't have a definite move in date but it should be in about a month or so.  They are getting so much done each day.  We started with a big open room and now we have walls everywhere, a brick wall, a cool reclaimed antique window and a stained wood beamed ceiling.  I think you guys are all going to love the new location and I can't wait to open the doors!  The new space is located near the Rice Village in central Houston.  We're going to have some great neighbors alongside us in the building as well.

After visiting the studio, we took the kids out to one of my favorite spots, the Goode Company Taqueria. They actually eat there, which is always a big plus.  The weather was great and we sat outside.  The kids love to throw pennies into the big fountain and climb around in this little group of bushes that they have on the patio.

Finn took a break from playing and took a picture with me.

He also had a good time sporting my new sunglasses.

It was one of those days that I love...no big drama, everyone is in a good mood, good food, nice weather...can't complain!  Life is good.  Hope you guys are having a day just like it.
